Network 43" W Computer Cart Finish: Pewter/Teak Review

I purchased the Studio RTA - Computer Cart - Black/Cherry Model: 13308. This was the worst computer desk purchase I ever made. First when I placed my CPU in the CPU holder, the holder started to lean over. I had to puchase a 4X4 piece of wood to brace it up. The other problem I had was with the keyboard shelf. The two pieces of metals that allow the keyboard shelf to slide in and out of the desk came apart. So eventually the keyboard became disengadged from the desk. I eventually gave up on this desk after 4 months and disposed of it. I realized that I could have replaced the pieces of metal tha attached to the keyboard, but eventually this item would have came apart again. I believe this problem with the metal sliders that attach to the keyboard to be a manufacter's defect.

White Deluxe Magnifier Review

There are a lot of these lamps on the market, but this one caught my eye since I toyed with a similar Alvin model in an art store a while ago. The lamp is fantastic, if you're ok with fluorescent lighting at least. On the plus side, the light is a daylight-simulator so it brightens up the room very nicely. The clamp is a vice-type and works pretty well, and it's definitely heavy duty enough for just about any setting. The lamp articulates very well and the magnifier works tremendously well. I use this as lamp at my regular computer desk, and I love it :)

Iceberg Aspira Corner Workstation Review

I've had this computer corner, along with a 48" work table, for almost 12 years at home. I hate to think how many hours I've sat at this table. It is virtually indestructible, holds everything well, is easy to move (though it hasn't been moved hardly) and has the perfect dimensions. There is a laminate/mdf insert that fits into a grove and covers almost all of the top. Thus, you can use this to write on and it will absorb heat from the computer without warping the furniture. If you are into modular workstations and need to move stuff around, this is it -- for home or office.

I think at some point, I'll go to, at home, something similar to what I have at the office: a laminate Hon desk. If I do, I'll keep the Iceberg (actually, Rubbermaid when I purchased it!) for my music production room, with the computer on the corner unit and the synth(s) on the table.

Second: The assembly is made impossible by screws with poor, easily stripped holes, badly pre-assembled panels and feet that are uneven, resulting in a wobbly final product

Why is this allowed to be sold?This is clearly a product that no one bothered to check out before selling it.

For a job that took less time and resulted in far less painful memories, might I recommend a DVD of "Bridge over the River Kwai"

Midlands Swivel Chair Review

I went looking through Amazon for a replacement chair for my computer desk. The old chair was refurbished by myself and purchased from a second-hand market. It's beautiful, but after a couple years of wear and hours of sitting at the computer, my neck was killing me! Keep in mind that I have a relatively physical job lifting baggage 12 hours+ at the airport, so my body is aching when I get home. I needed a comfortable chair with a high-back to rest my weary neck.

I read some reviews of other chairs that say they were easy to assemble and in actuality were not.

(Keep with me, I'm going to sum-up to a raving review!)

I looked at a few chairs with massage features - vibrate & knead with embedded rolling balls. Well, I tried one of those chairs. The features are great, but the chairs are ultimately uncomfortable.

(Here it comes, I'm going to tie this all together.)

Not this chair! It is THE most comfortable chair I have EVER sat in! I wasn't sure what I was getting looking at a picture, so I went to Office Max. All their chairs sucked! I went to Office Depot and fell in love!

I can sleep in this chair! I can put my head back and play at the computer with a heating pad on my neck. It's roomy and oh sooooo comfortable! Words cannot express how much I love this Chair!

When I took it out of the box, I thought, "this is going to be so hard to put together and the air lift wont work; it probably wont feel the same way it did in the store." WRONG! I put it together in probably 5 minutes. The clean-up was harder - picking-up the bags and throwing away the box. Why? Because I could not get out of my new chair. Heck, I may just throw away my bed and sleep right here...well, if I could get up.

As for the massaging. I just may get a massaging seat pad so I can put it in my car too.

If you want the full effect, get a cordless mouse and keyboard!!

Trust me, you will not regret pampering yourself in cushy comfort! GET THIS CHAIR!!

MultiUse Modular Table 24"x48" - Graphite Review

I needed to get a desk for drawing and computer (laptop) work in a small space for a few months. This is the only somewhat ergonomic choice below $300.

Positives:
- Has no "keyboard shelf" like all other cheap desks do. The only thing those are good for is causing RSI by putting an extra 3-4 inches between your lap and the desk top.
- Simple and muted look doesn't clash with other furniture.
- Really pretty cheap, and arrived fairly quickly.

Negatives:
- Extremely poor quality control. The bracket connecting one of the legs to the horizontal bar was bent so assembling was difficult. The parts didn't fit together all the way so there's a gap between the desk top and leg assembly. One of the bolt holes in the desk top had its threads almost completely stripped so it's only held by about one rotation of the bolt. This will eventually break because the bolt is under tension due to the bad fit above.
- The air trapped inside the plastic bag the desk top was in caused my studio to reek like cigarette smoke. I've never experienced anything like this before. Whoever packed it must've been chain smoking on the job.

Honey Studio Computer Desk Review

The desk itself is perfect for what we wanted: clean and functional design. The packaging, however, was inadequate. The carton had busted during shipping with the result that a couple of pieces had fallen out and two edges were nicked. The construction was simple enough that we could find replacement parts in our stash of screws and knobs, and the nicks weren't so bad as to warrant the hassle of returning the piece ... but really, shipping shouldn't be all that difficult.

Boss 2-Drawer Lateral File Review

The cabinet was delivered on time. It came in assembled. It was heavy to move the whole cabinet so I took the drawers out before moving it. One drawer fell totally apart when I took it out and I had to spend 15 minutes to re-assemble it in addition to the scratch of my hardwood floor. It doesn't open and close smoothly after I put in the files. Not happy with the workmanship. I never expect something would happen like this on products made in Canada.

Fabric Drafting Stool Crimson Review

First the good. It's easy to assemble, looks very nice and is very easy to adjust. The foot rest is very comfortable.The seat is a little hard, so you might want a cushion for extended sitting. The color is not as saturated as it looks in the photos, it's a cross between crimson and maroon. The weave is a little fuzzier than I hoped for, but it looks nice overall.

The bad part is that feet are like cookie cutters on your floor, so you'll have to figure out something to do to protect the floor where you use the chair. It also comes with casters, if you prefer to use those, but I don't want it roll around since I plan to use it with the tallest seat height (which is 32.5", by the way).

The black finish on the metal parts looks very nice. I actually found that the plastic sleeve that's supposed to go over the post that supports the back of the chair doesn't fit properly.It seems too long, and the hole doesn't line up with the hole in the post of the chair back, not even close. Anyway, the black finish of the metal looks so nice that I was happy to just leave off all the decorative plastic parts. I prefer a minimalist design, anyway.

All in all, it seems to be a great little chair for the money, and I'm happy with it.

Height Adjustable Mobile Laptop Computer Desk [NAN-JN-2792-GG] Review

I bought this table primarily so that I would have a stable place to put my laptop in my college dorm room. The cross bar tables that I have used in the past were way too easy to tip. To my dismay, this stand is also far too easy to accidentally knock over. A little too much weight on the right or left side is all it takes. In addition, the instructions mention locking caster wheels, but the package does not contain them. Thirdly and most disappointing is the condition in which the flat stand top arrived. When I opened the package, the black plastic material that covers the top side of the stand was loose, a large bubble had appeared and when I set the stand on the ground while putting the unit together, the adhesive bubble spread to cover the entire top.
I am disappointed with this product and would not buy again.

Liso Bookcase 4-Tier Review

Pro: This is a very nice shelf. All quality parts and very easy to put together.Once it is together, it looks expensive.

Cons: Some of the parts did not line up correctly.I had to make new holes to make it work.

The stool is not bulky and looks nice in my home.However, I'd prefer a more adjustable chair.For instance, the seat back does not adjust front and back, and the seat bottom does not tilt forward.The lumbar support feels good against my spine, but it deflates every day.The foot support ring diameter is too small that it might as well not exist; it's not a comfortable foot position.The seat bottom is very comfortable, so I'm interested in testing other Tiffany Office Furniture products.

Boss 95-Inch by 43-Inch Conference Table, Cherry Review

This table looks beautiful but it is the worst purchase I have made on Amazon. It weighs so much that the company Amazon hired to move it was unable to lift it from the truck and into my home. It weighs more than advertised. The 3 center pieces weigh 50 pounds each and the table top is so heavy that two adults cannot move it. It is useless unless you purchase it and than also hirer movers once it is delivered. The first table we ordered was returned because in transit someone attempted to lift it and broke it. It took two tables just to get it at all. I have never encountered a piece of furniture that was crafted to weigh this much. The mover placed it in the basement to avoid injury and was afraid to move it up the stairs to our first floor.

The table went into the basement dining room because no one could move it. If the top is placed on its side before being assembled it is a threat to small children. It weighs so much that if a child knocks it off balance they can be crushed under it. If you place the top down supine it is a hazard when you need to lift it up again because your back can be injured. After we installed the table and attempted to flip it the sides couldn't hold the weight of the table top and the screws ripped out of it causing the piece to be ruined and the table to collapse. It is now heading back to Amazon for a review and refund. Please don't buy this with kids in your home and believe me that two adults cannot move it or assemble it. This product should never be sold for home use and I doubt that it is constructed well enough to even be safe in a business environment.

Please don't buy this product. It is very poorly made. The back panel is split in to two halves: one half of the panel was not long enough or wide enough to fully cover the seams, leaving visible gaps along one side and the top. The staining on this product is uncharacteristically uneven. It just isn't worth the money.

Bodybilt K3507 High Back Review

I first got sucked into buying an Aeron Chair. The last time I used it though, both my upper and lower back seized up and I was in bed for 3 days. So I ended up doing lots of research on-line and trying out all different kinds of chairs.

The Bodybilt chair seemed the most promising so I went to a Rep who only had a few in her showroom and ordered one. Unfortunately I ordered one that was too wide and too tall, and on top of it I ended getting it damaged. If the box is damaged when you recieve your chair, you had better take a long hard look at it before signing for the shipping.

To make a long story short, I ended up returning it and receiving a new chair from the factory that fit me like a glove. You can do all the research on chairs you like, but this is the most ergonomic chair out there. And also if there is a a sales Rep. in your area, they will probably let you test 'drive' the Bodybilt for a few days before you buy.

Vibrant Orange and Chrome Bar Stool Height Drafting Stool with Tractor Seat [LF-215-ORANGEYELLOW-GG] Review

I really like the look of this stool. I honestly don't sit in it for long periods of time, so I can't comment on extended use, but the seat has been comfortable for what I use it for. I got it to use with a stand-up desk configuration as something to sit on when I need a short break from standing. With a maximum seat height of about 26-27 inches, it is about 3 or 4 inches shorter than I had hoped it would be. I don't consider this to be "bar stool height". I have used it more for sitting at a lower table when I am working on computers.

The chair came nicely packaged and was very easy to put together. The pneumatic adjustment works great and the color matched the photo (I got the Vibrant Orange).

I have received many positive remarks from people who have seen it in my office.

I am contemplating buying the task chair and/or the stool version as well.

The flexweave mesh is comfortable, conforming with just the right mix of support and give.The seat glides forward when you lean the backrest, just like a chiropractor chair.Lumbar support features thirty-five positions! You don't have to twist around to do it, and you can do it while seated.Seven lumbar height options and five lumbar pressure options.You can access them all in less than two minutes. This stool is essentially an enlarged bicycle seat.Contrary to the product description, there is NO back support.The company I work for (a large website named after a river) requires its fulfillment center employees with desk jobs to use these stools.Since I am short and my feet don't touch the floor, I have a specially made step stool on which to rest my feet.How's that for high-tech?These stools are a nightmare: they may serve a purpose, but it is NOT to sit at a computer for 10-12 hours a day.

Herman Miller Reaction - Black (Fully Adjustable Model) Review

I'm a big guy, and the average $100-200 office chair lasts about an average of six months in my house before breaking irreparably.

I was skeptical about dropping as much as I did on a Herman Miller chair, but I figured with a 12 year full warranty, the chair would last me at least that long, even if I had to trade it in a few times.

So far, a year down the road, the chair still works beautifully and shows no sign of wear. It's as sturdy, reliable and comfortable as the day I bought it.

Once I was able to receive the product, it only took me an hour to put it together.I was very happy with the end result, however, there was no pre-determined holes for the screws in the chair and I had to use an electric screw driver in-order to put together the desk and chair.
