SeatFlex Task Chair - Black Review

Because I sit at the computer most of every day, I was having problems with office chairs that provided support and did not create excess pressure on the tailbone in different positions.I tried using a Coccyx Cushion (sold here at Amazon) but these flattened over time and had limited usefulness.I also tried the Herman Miller Celle chair.While it has a good desgn and good back support, the seats are molded plastic and have no give.They are also very expensive and the Aeron, which would probably be ideal, is more costly still.

On the other hand the SeatFlex is perfect.I have had it for months now and have had no recurrence of pain with its use.The elastic bands have good give and yet the back gives good support.If you have mid-back pains something with more back support may be preferable.But if you have very low back pain, this is a good buy.Its design is also quite attractive.It was also quite simple to assemble, although there was one screw that was somewhat stripped and could not be fully tightened.

When I purchased this item, it was shown on the chair, so I assumed I was getting the chair. I never got the item, and when I wrote the seller, I was informed I had purchased the arms, and the chair was not part of the purchase. When I went back to the item I "thought" I had bought, the picture was different, showing just the arms of the chair. Now the picture has changed again, showing a completely different chair than the one I thought I was getting. Luckily, the company offered a full refund, and I still don't know where the arms went. SO I would give 4 stars for the no-hassel refund and check of the warehouse, but 1 for the bad advertising of the product. Whoever listed this didn't check very well, but it seems to be listed correctly now. If you dare try the item, go for it. If there is a problem, they are very quick to get back with you and resolve it.

I will never order any item from this supplier ever again.I ordered the product and when I received it I was shocked.I was not what I thought it was, the base was plastic and I do not believe there was any bronze on it at all.When I contacted the supplier I was informed that I would need to pay the return shipping charge and if I did not ship fedex or HDL they would not apply a credit.After all was said and done it cost me approx $70.00 to view this product.I believe there decription was deceptive and they would not work with me at all to resolve the issue. Besides the shipping charges for both way they also deducted a restocking fee from my credit.I would have kept the item if I just changed my mind but the item was not what I felt it would be.It was a cheap copy and looked as such.

This item was supposed to be ordered through and shipped by "ReStockit" for $24.99 (+ $10.00 Shipping) and was supposed to be for medium to low carpets.To my surprise I received a shipment from "Staples" for a mat that is "for commercial carpets only" along with an invoice for $19.50 -So ReStockit just made a profit of $5.50 (+ whatever they cleared on the s+h !) by misleading the consumer!! Overall the mat is barely acceptable and the way it was presented and sold is very shady so I would be very careful from ordering from this merchant.

Stackable/Folding Shelf 3-Tier Review

I was very disappointed with this item, and it was the only product in many years of shopping at amazon that I had to return. I've bought more than 20 nearly identical bookcases from other sources, widely available on the web, made in Thailand. They require no assembly at all, just open and the shelves fall into place, and they are very sturdy. I ordered 6 of this slightly different product at a higher cost than average because I wanted them in a hurry, and amazon offered overnight shipping for something which usually takes two weeks to arrive. But this bookcase required two people more than an hour to assemble, none of the parts quite fit, and the one I did manage to assemble was wobbly, so I returned the other 5 (which took almost three weeks and many phone calls). It is a mystery that such a poorly designed product could survive the competition.

This is a very comfortable chair. there is lumbar support & the way it is designed, it makes you sit up in a good ergonomic position. I like that the arms come out from the back because it doesn't interfere with my keyboard tray like some other arms do. They are a little low, but I don't use the arms all that often for resting so its not a problem for me.

The seat itself doesn't sink as low as I would like it to though. The lowest position for the chair is just a smidge too high for my desk. I also wish it was a little more cushy, but that is all right.

For the price this is a very good chair & I am happy that I bought it.

"Airflo" Series Executive Chair Color: Gray, Accents: With Silver Accents Review

The difference between the 650 and the 651 is that the 650 has a plastic base and the 651 has an aluminum base. I broke the plastic base on my old chair, so I ordered a 651. But the aluminum base raises the chair an inch or two, plus I use hardwood floor casters that have big, soft wheels that raise the chair another inch or two, so the combination resulted in a chair too tall to fit under my desk.Luckily the next day I found a chair on the street with a plastic base and broken casters, so I swapped bases and now my chair is the right height. (I also found the owner of the chair on the street, fixed her chair with the casters from the 651, and she's coming over to pick up her chair.)

Otherwise, the 650/651 is a perfectly good mid-back chair. You can't put your head back and sleep in it, but I don't sleep on the job. :-)The lumbar support is adjustable, you adjust the tilt, and adjust the height (although it'll never go as low as some other chairs). I'm 5'10" so the height is good. The chair is too wide for me (I weigh 160 lbs) but this isn't a problem. In terms of styling, I wanted a low-price knock-off Herman Miller Aeron. The 650/651 looks sort of Aeron-ish, in a minimalist way. I ordered gray, and the box is marked gray, but the chair is black. All in all, a good chair at a good price.

Winsome Wood Folding 4-Tier Shelf Review

I just recieved this thing called a bookshelf. It has no quality at all.
I opened the box, and removed the shelf. One of upright legs on the back had been made with a piece of lumber that had been broken completely in
half and put back together with staples. It looks like a stitched incision. It was completely scratched all over. We had to fix all the scratches.
If I had not had to have it now, I would have sent back for a full refund!!
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HumanScale Freedom Chair, Black Wave Fabric Review

I feel compelled to write this review, despite the fact that I bought this chair (in black leather) three years ago, because it stands out as one of the worst purchases I have ever made. I am 5'11", of medium build, and this chair is profoundly uncomfortable to sit in. The sensation is that your body is being *rejected* by the chair--pushed out of it toward the front, as if it does not want you sitting in it. Researching chairs, I was taken in by all the Freedom Chair hype--for example, how wonderful the perfectly even armrests are, which are supposed to keep your body aligned. The reality is that the armrests are attached (cheaply) with a large 'U' of metal, with only the crudest ability to adjust them. They "clunk-clunk-clunk" into 4 positions, only one of which is actually practical to use. And think about it: Any good tailor will tell you that most people's bodies are NOT perfectly symmetrical, with one arm or leg or shoulder being half an inch higher or longer than the other. Making a chair's armrest mechanism cheaply, with no ability to adjust the arms independently--and then claiming that is a superior feature to other chairs, to promote balance and harmony? That's not just cheap, it's not just pretentious, it's hogwash.

I could go on about other failings of this chair (shoddy construction, leather that puckles and wrinkles after light use of two years, arm rest panels that are separating from the frame, etc.), but I think you get the idea. Bottom line: I wince when I think of the money I wasted on this purchase. Do better than I did, don't believe the hogwash, and avoid this pretentious, poorly-designed, and obscenely overpriced chair.

I was looking for a step stool for a busy kitchen with four children.This way the kids could reach cabinets and drawers by themselves and they could even wash their own hands before meals.I love this stool because it is so easily mobile and it doesn't scratch any cabinet surfaces when it bumps.Just be careful with little ones around two to three years old. They want to climb on the stool and be self-sufficient (the "me do it" stage) but their weight may not be enough to press down on the casters and prevent the stool from sliding around under their feet.We still use it with them, but I stand behind it to keep it from moving.

Probably the best chair I've ever sat in. Extremely comfortable and great build quality. The massager isn't half bad either considering how much cushion it has to work through. I flip it on every now and then throughout the day, and my pregnant wife sits in it for hours with the massage going. It's a nice stress reliever. As listed, it does weighs 86 pounds so it's on the heavy side, but if you don't want extra weight just get a model without the massagers. I do recommend searching a used office depot store to find it cheaper, but most would agree it is worth the money for a great chair.

This chair is really pricey, but it is probably the most comfortable office chair I have ever owned or sat in. I am still trying different positions for even more comfort. This is the first chair I purchased in which all of the linkage for adjustments are internal in the chair and are controlled by buttons, either within the arms or under the chair itself. There are no external arms or linkage to contend with, which really adds to the style of the chair. This chair sits on a hard surface chair mat. It rolls extremely easy, almost too easy. I need to look into a set of chair rollers or wheels that are meant to be on a hard surface. If I needed another office chair, this one would be the one I go after to buy.

Space 5560 Space Air Grid Deluxe Task Chair, 20-1/2w x 19-1/2d x 42h, Black Review

I was looking for a chair with Aeron qualities at an affordable price, so of course, the Space Air Grid was an obvious choice. The chair was very easy to assemble, and the parts are of overall high quality. The casters worked great on my medium pile carpet and the design should blend in well with any modern workspace. However, the medium sized chair (standard size) is big. It is more like a size C Aeron chair (the largest size), and not a size B (the normal size). I am 5' 7" 150 lbs and it felt too large for me. It also did not go low enough for my feet to be flat on the ground. This is important to not only relieve pressure from your thighs, but to help maintain proper posture. There is also a fair amount of movement even when the adjustable back is set to the 'non moving' position. After an hour or so I found myself squirming in the chair.

I debated getting a foot rest and keeping the chair, but with my desk setup, it would not be practical to get one. If I was just able to lower it down an inch or so more, I would have given it near 5 stars for quality and price, but alas, it is just "okay."

I returned the chair and ended up purchasing an Aeron Size B Basic chair, the difference is like night and day. When you sit in the Aeron the chair adjusts itself to your body. Your back is instantly supported and the pressure seems to disappear. Yes, they are expensive, but if you sit at a desk for the greater portion of the day - it is worth it's weight in gold (and it weighs around 45 lbs!)

Fortunately, I have not seen the fireproof abilities first hand, however I looked at them onling at the Sentry Website.The safe requires 2 people to move because it is heavy and has no handles to move on the outside.It appears to be built well and the drawers glide easily.You can outfit it for Legal use by going to an office store and getting standard legal conversion rails.I was suprised to receive my safe 3 days after I ordered it, but this may not be typical.

Imax Chair by Euro Style Review

Perfect for my Daughter's bedroom, yada yada.

Here's the problem.A plastic bracket on the back of the chair forces 1 of 2 screws to cross thread, no matter how you try it.
this is the bracket that holds the seat-back to the vertical support bar.Here's a breakdown of what happened:

-I first put in one screw.No problem.
-tried to put in second screw.PROBLEM.It's starting to cross thread.
-Good thing I'm being careful.I back the screw out.take out the other screw that I had already put in.
-now I put both screws in at the same time.I try anyway.One is still cross threading.
-now I start with the opposite side.Then tried the second screw.Cross-threading.
-I take everything off.Put the screws in without the bracket.They fit just fine.The bracket is warped.
-Now I try putting in the second screw while kneeling on the seat back, hoping that I could conform the shape of the seat to the shape of the bracket so the screws will go in straight.Nope.
-I try several times to reverse order of assembly, put in the screws at different speeds, whatever it takes.ALL the time being careful not to strip the threads.To no avail.
-I now inspect the screws.One of the screws threads are flattened down at the tip, dispite my best efforts for this not to happen.The metal they are made of is very soft.
_NOW I TORQUE THE FIRST SCREW ALL THE WAY DOWN AND BRUTISHLY CRAM IN THE SECOND SCREW.

There, that fixed it... ... sort of.The bracket is staying in place, barely.

I tried to contact the company for replacement parts.This is actually for parts that may have been missing, but I'm pretty sure my parts were defective.The bracket will always force the second screw to cross thread.They give you a fax number and a sheet with part numbers.

The fax number does not work.

Can't say if this is true for every seat they've made, but this one has been a pain.I actually had to go on line and do detective work to find the company and a phone number.I'm betting this is for corporate business.I will give it a shot though.

If you need a swank, colorful chiar, this one looks nice but might cause more that a little headache.

Black Leather High Back Executive Chair Black Leather/Oak Finish Review

Have had this chair over a year now, it arrived with one of the wooden legs scratched due to shipping, but I lived with it. Assembly was easy enough. I'm still using it for my computer chair, but I sit on a pillow because the chair seat is rock hard!! The best feature of this chair is that it rocks. I have another desk chair from Walmart, that altho it doesn't rock, it's seat is definitely more comfortable & 2/3 of the price of this chair. No doubt the chair will last another couple of years before the surface begins to crack etc, til then, it was ok overall.

This is a nice, sturdy chair and will probably hold up forever.My kids were 3 when I bought two of these, and they had no problems maneuvering in and out of them.They are easy to clean (really don't get dirty) and there is probably nothing my kids could do to destroy them.
